Got Fallout 3 and/or Fallout: New Vegas on Xbox 360? Bought a copy on Steam? With this tutorial you can transfer that well-worked-for save from your console to your computer!
You will need: Flash Drive (at least 1 GB of space, and empty. You can put the contents in a folder on your desktop until the process is done)
Fallout 3 and/or Fallout: New Vegas on Xbox 360
Fallout 3 and/or Fallout: New Vegas on Steam
Modio (Download link supplied)
Note: Please be careful when handling your saves, always COPY when putting saves onto your flash drive, this way you always have a backup in case something were to go wrong. Extra backups never hurt anyone.
First off, you will need to plug your Flash Drive into your Xbox 360 in one of the two USB Ports on the front face of the console.
Once you are on your dashboard, scroll over to 'Settings' and select 'System'
Select 'Storage'
Then, select 'Hard Drive' -> 'Games and Apps' -> 'Fallout 3' and/or 'Fallout: New Vegas'
Select the save file you want to transfer, then select 'Copy' (To copy all, highlight the game in the 'Games and Apps' menu and press Y, if copy error pops up, you must delete the update in the data list. Don't worry, this update will reinstall automatically next time you play the game on the console)
Select your flash drive
*At this point, your save is on the flash drive and we will now go to the PC
7) Plug your flash drive in and open it
8) Open 'Modio' (Download link supplied) and select 'Open a Save' at the bottom
9) Select 'USB Stick' -> 'Explore Device'
10) Open 'Content' -> Last folder -> 'Fallout 3' or 'Fallout: New Vegas' -> Game Saves
11) Select the save file(s) and place them to the desktop
12) Rename the file and change the extension (last three letters after the period) to '.fos' and select 'Yes'
13) Open a new tab and select 'Browse', then select the save file(s) on the desktop
14) Select 'Advanced' -> 'Edit Content Package' -> Rename the save file(s) and change the extension '.fos' (You can remove the first save file(s) that are on the desktop)
*The file(s) are now ready to be implemented to your game
15) Then go to 'Documents' -> 'My Games' -> 'Fallout 3' or 'Fallout: New Vegas' -> 'Saves' and drop the file in that folder

*At this point the save is implemented and will show up in your saves list when you load a game.
EDIT: (This works for Skyrim too, use the extension '.ess' instead of '.fos')
Enjoy!!

Control Panel>Internet Options>Advanced. Put a checkmark in 'Disable Script Debugging (Internet Explorer)' and 'Disable Script Debugging (Others)'. Apply/OK out.
If that doesn't take care of the issue, in the Debugger itself:
1. Use the Tools menu and click Options.
2. In the Options dialog box, select the Debugging folder.
3. In the Debugging folder, select the Just-In-Time page.
4. In the 'Enable Just-In-Time debugging of these types of code' box, clear the boxes next to Managed, Native, and Script*. Click OK.

The Internet Options part and the JIT Debugger part are two separate things. In order to do the Debugger changes, wait until the Debugger shows up and make the changes to it from its Tools>Options menu.
